William E. Taylor and Maranda Arrowsmith

William E. Taylor, son of William Taylor and Mary Cochran, was born in Posey Township, Switzerland County, Indiana in September of about 1849. He died on 14 October 1913 at The National Soldier's Home, Johnson City, Washington Co., Tennessee. He is buried in the Mountain Home National Cemetery, Washington Co., Tennessee. He was married on 10 July 1875 in Posey Township, Switzerland County, Indiana to Maranda Arrowsmith, born 13 May 1852, died in 1923 probably in Hamilton County, Ohio. Maranda's family name was originally "Arrowschmidt."

William E. Taylor was a soldier in the Spanish-American War and served in Cuba.

1. LAURA TAYLOR - born 12 July 1876 in Indiana. She md. Mr. Harriman. In 1914 she was living in Marion, Grant Co., Indiana.
2. JOSEPH TAYLOR - born 17 March 1880 in Ohio. He married May Ellis. Children: Harold and Henrietta.
3. JOHN H. TAYLOR - born 6 April 1884 in Indiana
4. ROBERT HARVEY TAYLOR - born 3 May 1887 in Patriot, Posey Township, Switzerland County, Indiana.
5. JAMES E. TAYLOR - born 6 March 1889 in Kentucky. He married Lizzie.
