LORINDA KNAPP, (dau. of Jacob Knapp and Martha Benson) born 1834 in Westfield, Delaware Co., Ohio; died 1901. Married ANDREW JACKSON MEEK, born in 1828; died 20 April 1862. Andrew served as a private in the Civil War.
Lorinda and Andrew had 6 children:

1. WILLIAM H. MEEK, born 1853 in Ohio, died 1931.

2. LORENZO DEVILLO MEEK, born 1856, died 1930. Married VIOLA M. CALKINS, born 1857, died 1930. Lorenzo and Viola had 3 children: Fred (b.1879), Herman J. (b.1883), and Herman L. (1896).

3. ALBERT M. MEEK, born 1858.

4. EMERY A. MEEK, born 1861.

NOTE: Children Caroline (born 1864) and Linius Edwin Meek are listed with Andrew's wife Lorinda in census records after 1864, however they can't be his and so far there's no evidence Lorinda ever married again. Perhaps these two children were adopted and included in later census records and mistakingly recorded as natural children of Lorinda.
