Ebenezer Knapp was born 4 August 1734 in Stamford, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, and died 9 June 1789 in Litchfield, Litchfield Co., Connecticut.  He may have married a woman named Elizabeth McRae. 

He is often included as a child of Moses Knapp (born: 6 August 1709, wife: Jemima Mead) of the Nicholas Knapp line. This is much debated and some think he was misassigned by A.A. Knapp and should really be connected to the Roger Knapp line. The debate could be put to rest by a descendant of Ebenezer Knapp who would be willing to participate in the Knapp DNA project.
