DANIEL KNAPP (Son of Josiah Knapp and Sybil Dickerson) was born between 1686 - 1696 in Fairifield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. He died 28 July 1771. He married about 5 March 1710/11 in Fairfield County, Connecticut to ABIGAIL BANKS, born abt. 1688 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, died 1758 in Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Abigail was the daughter of Benjamin Banks.

Daniel Knapp and Abigail Banks had the following known children:

8. JOSEPH KNAPP, born 20 July 1731

9. ELIZABETH KNAPP, born 29 September 1736 in Fairfield County, Connecticut, d. 27 September 1755 in Fairfield County, Connecticut.
